School Field Trips to the Farm

Field TripsBring your class to Amazingly Fun Farm for a real "field trip", which includes an educational presentation about corn and lots of fun-filled farm activities.

Field trips include:
Trip through the Cornfield Maze
Hayride to the Pumpkin Patch (each student picks their own pumpkin)

Facilities at the farm:
Portable toilet facilities with hand-washing stations
Picnic areas and playground

Field trip costs:
Fees start at $3.00 per student
— Add Corn Cannon (3 shots each) for $1.00 per student
— Add Cow Train ride for $1.00 per student

Field Trips are Tuesdays - Fridays 9am-2pm by reservation only. Starting September 15, 2009

icon_TRGOur field trips feature a learning experience focused on the life cycle of corn (etc), with unique, fun, educational activities that expose children to agriculture. Many are combined with farm adventures, such as: corn maze exploration, hayrides, pumpkin patches, etc.

Hands-on learning experiences are always best when students have been prepared for what they are about to encounter and are able to then discuss what they learned afterwards. We are pleased to offer our “Classroom in the Corn” learning series to make your field trip more exciting and memorable … as well as a better learning experience.

They have been developed with activity goals, National Curriculum Standards, preparation required, materials needed, worksheets, and step-by-step instructions.

Teachers can use these links to download the lesson plans. These Teacher Resource Guides are broken into separate grade ranges and each include: activity goals, National Curriculum Standards, preparation required, materials needed, worksheets, and step-by-step instructions. You will have to register for a field trip to receive the password that is required to view these plans.

Home school classes can take advantage of our field trip prices on this special day. Adults attending are $3.00 each.

Birthday Parties

Birthday parties at the farm are fun and adventurous! A farm party is something different!

You are welcome to bring your own food, cake, etc., and you can reserve picnic space and cooking grills. Group rates apply with reservation.

Parties with 15+ guests can receive $1.50 off the price of Farm Admission. All party reservations must be paid in full with one check (or cash) at the time of admission.

We require a 50% deposit at the time of the reservation. No other discounts or coupons apply.

Groups Days: Every Wednesday and Thursday

The farm is open each Wednesday and Thursday from 5-8pm to groups with reservations only! Bring your family group, church group, or business colleagues out to Amazingly Fun Farm for an amazingly fun time!

Discounted group rate ($1.50 off the price of Farm Admission) applies for groups of 40 or more. Reservations are required. A deposit of 50% is required at the time of reservation. No other discounts of coupons apply. Groups must pay the remainder of the fee by one check or cash at the time of admission.

Calling all Scouts!

Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts! Come to the cornfield maze with your troop and test your sense of direction. Special "Scout Passports" are available to help guide you through the maze. Scout patches are available for $1.00. Group rates apply with reservation.
